Yesterday was so incredibly frustrating for me. I am surrounded by successful people. Whether they be in a direct selling/network marketing business, have their own home business or own a franchise. Not only am I not where I want or should be, I will be 35 this month! After I slept on it I realized I am only a quarter of the way through my life so I have another 85 years to go at least. Yes, I am going to live until I’m at least 120! I’ve been in the direct selling industry since I was 18 and have yet to become successful which is a darn shame. It isn’t because the companies did work, I didn’t work the companies. I wasn’t of that 5% willing to do what it took to be uncomfortable. Are you in the same boat? Or are you of the 5% and are successful? The following is a few things I will be changing this year. Let us know what you do, what changes are you making, if you are already successful what 1 thing helped to get you there.

1. Listen to 30 minutes of professional development/self- improvement a day

2. Read at least 10 pages of a professional development/self- improvement book/ day

3. Attend EVERY SINGLE meeting my company has to offer

Being a WAHM Can Be Such a Challenge!

Trying to balance taking care of your child(ren), cleaning house, making meals AND keeping up with trying to run a business can be such a challenge. It definitely requires having a partner willing to support you and give you time to work. HA! As if you didn’t work all day, but we all know that being a mom usually isn’t considered “work” by the other spouse/partner. The most important things to be a successful WAHM is superb time management and a work space set aside from the rest of the family. Here’s a few tips to make sure you give time to your business:

1. Set a specific day/time and make sure your family knows when it is.

2. Go in a separate room, a bedroom, office if you’ve got the space, basement or if you have to even a walk in closet or bathroom will do.

3. Make sure the family knows that this is mommy’s time to work. Perhaps set a timer outside the door. And let them know once it goes off you’ll be done, but in the mean time NO interruptions. You could even reward them for not interrupting you.

So much for being patient with us. I have some of the things on our Facebook Fan Page while I figure out the shopping cart on this site, however, they have made things so confusing. I went in today as if I was a customer and was so irritated by how ridiculous it is just to find the size you want. And for that, I apologize. When I delete a category on there, it wasn’t truly deleting it either. I am hoping to have the site completely fixed within 2 weeks and then I will post some big savings for you! In the mean time “like” our fan page and help us spread the word.

SPIDERS! Like terribly afraid. I can deal with daddy long legs, sometimes, but any other kind I totally freak out. In fact I freak out so much I’ll usually lose my appetite the rest of the day. Yes, I get it, we are a bazillion times bigger, yada yada. But it’s just something about them creepy little things I can’t deal with. And to think when I was little I used to let them crawl on my arms. Man! What was I thinking? So what are you afraid of? Post in the comments, we’d love to hear.

I just don’t get it! I was starting to really get into blogging and my life explodes with a mile long list of things to do and blogging is not one of them. So each night I lay in and think DOH! I forgot to post AGAIN. I of course always have awesome blog ideas and I swear I’ll remember them and nope I don’t. Yea, I know I should be writing them down on the note pad we should always have on our nightstand, but hey, I have no nightstand lol. I guess the only thing I can do is keep trying, right?

Sorry, it probably seems like I fell off the earth. This past week has been so crazy and wouldn’t you know it, it was the week of Lollipop’s Grand Opening that all of this “stuff” occurred. I didn’t forget about picking a winner for our “Pay It Forward” contest, that will hopefully be done today and announced by tomorrow. It’s been incredibly frustrating because I haven’t been able to link things correctly on this site for my store so I have started using a shopping cart on our Facebook page. Hopefully in the near future I will have it figured out.

In the mean time feel free to check out and “like” our Facebook page. We are expecting a new shipment this week of accessories and have the few winter coats we have on sale for 20% off! Although I’m beginning to wonder just how late winter will be this year here in Michigan. We’ve yet to receive any snow, which is fine, as long as it means it won’t be snowing in June because of the late start.

The shipping has never been outrageous for me, $2 on a pair of earrings seems more than reasonable. How are they able to give such great deals? Great question!
